Using Miro to replace flashcard games: a quick look & access to the board
Last week I shared some info on Miro and how I’ve been using it in Mandarin classes to bring learning with flashcards over to online formats.
I started off finding Miro overwhelming. But since then, it’s become an important part of my online teaching toolkit.
Some teachers in the live session last week asked to see the board and the layouts I used and shared with them.

What about templates?
This is a common question that popped up after the session.
Simply: I skipped the templates and just kept it simple: I added some white rectangle shapes for the boards. I used sticky notes for the character ‘flashcards’.
Miro: lots to offer
Miro is a complex tool that I’m slowly learning more about. But using even the simple functions of sticky notes has transformed my online lesson activities.
